This picture is something I did technically find on Pinterest, but I sought it out on purpose because it represents my next DIY project. An old globe is en route to me as we speak (thanks, eBay).
If I had an extra sack of cash hangin' around, I'd use it to totally gut our main bathroom. And then I would do this to it. My favorite aspects are the bare windows, light fixture, and soaking tub:
I'm finally in the last semester of my drawing classes, which is bittersweet. It's sad because I love drawing things by hand, but nice because every time I start a new class the materials are dramatically different and I have to figure out how to carry them around. This bag would be great for the markers, colored pencils, and three kinds of paper I have this time:
We had a friend read this excerpt from The Velveteen Rabbit at our wedding. It still gets me every time:
And I know this will be controversial, but now that I've completely grown out my bangs and lived without them for a while, I think it's time to bring them back. Not blunt bangs! God no. But something long and side-swept that I could pin back when I feel like it:
What kind of goodies did you find on the interwebs this week? Anybody else gearing up for a new project? Or considering a haircut? What are you up to this weekend?

I currently don't have time to go to the hair salon. Guess what? I cut my own hair yesterday ;-)
ReplyDeleteChopped off a bit at the bottom and angled the sides!
I've always wanted a free standing bath!
God I need a haircut desperately! My hair is so, so long. It's perpetually tangled up in scarves and the shoulder strap of my bag. I wish I could cut my own hair like Duni did! I can't do bangs though; they are way too much maintenance for me. But they do look lovely on that lady.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I love that bag. Happy Friday! :)
Sidebangs = always a good idea. And that light fixture in the bathroom? I'm going crazy for it.
ReplyDeleteConsidering a haircut, definitely! One of my to-dos this week.
ReplyDeleteBecause I cut my own hair, I need to be in the right mood, otherwise horrible things happen...
You always find the greatest bags! I love its slightly masculine look.
Hope you can do your bathroom like that someday. It's gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteLOVE long side swept bangs! You could definitely rock that look. I look forward to seeing your globe project.
ReplyDeleteThe chalkboard globe is definitely cool, and I love the Velveteen Rabit quotation. I had a bear when I was a kid (okay, so I sill have him!) that I insisted was real.
ReplyDeleteI agree...the week just flew by!
ReplyDeleteI'm drooling over that soaking tub!!!
And I like the side swept bangs too.
I love that bathroom!!! I'm all about bare windows! Some people are scared of bare windows because they think people will be peeking in. I guess it depends on how visible the window is. But, I love that look!

I love that bathroom too, especially the tub! And I know what you mean about bangs, every time I grow them out I want them, but every time I cut them I want to grow them out haha catch 22 right?
ReplyDeleteNormally I do not read post on blogs, however
ReplyDeleteI wish to say that this write-up very forced me to try and do it!
Your writing taste has been amazed me. Thanks, very nice
article.

Great finds this week, I am loving that bag!!

Oh, the globe project is so tempting! On Pinterest I mostly find beautiful photographs from around the world and super awesome recipes, vegan included. When I get too hungry pinning I know I've had enough of it and go back to real life and experimenting with recipes :D
